On April 12 in HCMC, Saigon Eye Hospital System officially launched EYESignature – Vietnam’s first personalized myopia correction solution. The event brought together leading ophthalmology experts, doctors, representatives from technology partner SCHWIND, and leadership teams from Saigon Eye Hospital branches nationwide.

The launch event for EYESignature personalized myopia correction technology attracted many domestic and international ophthalmologists.

“Tailor-made” myopia correction surgery for each pair of eyes

The eye is a sophisticated organ with multiple components working together to transform light into images. The cornea – the transparent front layer of the eye – plays a key role in adjusting how light enters and is the main area treated in laser vision correction.

However, each person’s corneal structure is unique. The corneal surface comprises thousands of microscopic points with unique irregularities and curvatures. Even two people with identical prescriptions have completely different eye structures and corneal surfaces.

Comprehensive personalized vision correction process of EYESignature

Combining modern equipment and technology platform from SCHWIND Group (Germany), EYESignature enables comprehensive personalization of the myopia correction process – from measurement, planning to laser treatment.

The process begins with absolute precise measurement using Schwind Sirius and Schwind Peramis systems to create 3D corneal maps and collect comprehensive optical data, identifying micro-level visual distortions that conventional devices cannot detect. This data is then analyzed by AI software to determine all distortions – from low to high order – to develop an optimal, personalized treatment plan for each eye. Finally, the surgery is performed using the Schwind Amaris laser system capable of fine-tuning up to 150,000 points on the cornea – ensuring each eye is treated according to a unique design.

Currently, EYESignature technology is available at Saigon Eye Hospitals in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, with plans to expand across the entire system of 19 hospitals and clinics nationwide.
