OFFICIAL OPENING OF SAIGON EYE HOSPITAL – KIEN GIANG

On the morning of January 10, 2026, Saigon Eye Hospital Kien Giang held a grand opening ceremony in Rach Gia Ward, Kien Giang Province. This significant milestone marks the official launch of the 22nd member of the largest network of eye hospitals in Vietnam, continuing its mission to bring high-quality eye care services to the people of the Mekong Delta region.

The opening ceremony officially marked the start of operations at Saigon Eye Hospital Kien Giang.

Expanding the Specialized Eye Care Network in the Western Vietnam

Saigon Eye Hospital – Kien Giang is situated in a prime location: No. 228, 3 Thang 2 Street, Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province (central Rach Gia). The establishment of this hospital not only meets the growing demand for eye examinations among local residents but also helps alleviate the burden on upper-level hospitals, allowing patients to access advanced eye treatment technologies right in their home province

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished leaders from various provincial departments and agencies, including:

• Prof. Tran Quang Hien– Director of the Kien Giang Department of Health

• Mr. Do Tran Thinh – Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chair of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Chair of the Kien Giang Labor Federation

• Mr. Bui Quoc Thai – Director of the Kien Giang Department of Tourism

• Mr. Nguyen Cong Chanh – Deputy Director of Kien Giang Social Insurance

• Mr. Nguyen Van Hon – Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, Kien Giang Province

• Mr. Duong Hong Tuan – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Rach Gia Ward

In the opening remarks, Prof. Tran Quang Hien – Director of the Kien Giang Department of Health, stated: “In implementing the Government’s Resolution 63/NQ-CP on promoting the socialization of healthcare, the local health sector focuses on a harmonious coordination between public and private resources to enhance the quality of healthcare for the people of An Giang. The comprehensive investment in facilities and human resources at Saigon Kien Giang Eye Hospital, along with its adherence to Ministry of Health regulations and international standards, will significantly help local residents access high-quality eye care services right here.”

• Screening and treatment for strabismus (crossed eyes) and other common eye conditions.
